Douglas (Doug) Miller and his wife of 21 years Dana were both born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland and currently live in Derwood, Maryland. Doug and Dana have three daughters, Sarah, Hayley and Rachel. Doug Graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland in Journalism. Doug was a walk-on football player who earned an Athletic Scholarship and played football for the Maryland Terrapins in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Doug is happy that his oldest daughter Rachel decided to attend Maryland and become a “TERP”.
Doug has remained active in his community coaching football and girl’s basketball for the past 27 years. Doug coached girls basketball at St. John’s Episcopal School in Olney, Maryland and has been a head football coach at Magruder High School, Wootton High School and an assistant at many other schools as well as local colleges. One of Doug’s best memories of coaching is taking a position at Gallaudet University as offensive coordinator, learning sign language and helping the Gallaudet Bison win the conference championship.
Doug and his seven brothers and sisters have worked in the real estate business since the mid 1970’s and early 1980’s and with their father, William Miller, Sr.’s Brokerage firm. Although marriage and children have taken some of Doug’s brothers and sisters down different paths, Doug has remained in the Real Estate profession and opened Miller Realty Services, LLC in March of 1997. Doug is licensed for both Maryland and Virginia
Real Estate.
